Many good things

So easy to dwell on negativity, but in my life I had a great go at it ,                                                             Great nuclear family ,  many family vacations, (big holiday gathering  with aunts uncles and cousins) Yellow Stone , Canada, Baraboo , Grandma’s cabin ,trailer on  the whitefish chain , Fishing with Dad side trips .

I was a  Webelos we met at Judge Godfre’s ,then a cub scout at Hooks and then I spent 9 years at House Of Hope, troop 19, BSA ,on Summit ave.Becoming a leader Being honored with the order of the Arrow , along with Dad.

I was allowed to hop a freight train all the way to the west coast , ( A cousin ,Kathy, knew a guy who was writing a collage thesis , he watched over us ,but only saw him once the entire trip .and my neighbor Lou S was a railroad worker , they helped get my parents to OK the Idea) I was only 15 years old , that’s not possible anymore.

My popularity got me chosen to be on an all expenses paid trip with three other friends,to the west coast and the Canadian Rockies = a high school graduation gift to a friend from his parents, his Dad wrote Zen and the art of motorcycle maintenance  .

Completed U of M Forestry course in Grand Rapids Minnesota ( diploma )Worked for Mn. DNR Thistledew Dist. doing land use inventory . then moving to Montana ,Worked in YACC at Lakeside AFB then my dream job USFS Tally Lake Dist.*

Graduate of Heavy Duty Truck class , Saint Paul Technology College. ( diploma ) worked 6 years 7 different shops ( my TBI affecting me and Mental health  )

Walked across the Boundary Waters on the  the Kekekabic trail , a free high school trip , from a learning center program . And canoed the B W C A with two buddies.

Traveled thousands of miles out west , Canada the coast , at different times with different motorcycles , totaled a 550 on the west coast hwy at Florence Or.

Worked as a farm hand on a three section farm , that , also had an award winning 60 head heard of Charlotte cattle and the biggest tractor in Stevens county.

I got paid to make people smile as a Carny , operating a Computer Portrait booth .all over the Midwest and many cities in Texas 2 plus years .

*Got paid to walk through the swamps forests and woods of Minnesota and Montana, as a Timber Cruiser and Forester.

I befriended a Medicine Woman , Celina W., she cured me of the asthma attacks that had sent me to the E R most of my life . this lady spoke three different Native languages , I spent a lot of time in her cabin with my girlfriend .

More blessings came into my life . I hold them all dearly, time is really moving along , and I try to stay positive. Cause when you hit bottom , the only way , is , up .
