My life took many turns, not giving up at really knowing ,is,part of personal inventory , reaching out, through, my recollections , makes me feel that , at least my first person perspective is more valid than , say , gossip. I have suffered from mental health issues my entire life . I don’t believe in labels ( diagnostic guesswork ) I have traumatic brain damage, and have seen other labels put on me , in , medical records In grade school , they tested me and in many years , I was put in S L D programs. ( not at Linwood Elementary ). Sever asthma ( that manifested when I was eight years old ) kept me out of serving in the military I worked all of my life = some years there was four or more W 2’s to file . I continued to work ( and volunteer) after getting SSDI in 2004 and still do. I was A. Brother A paperboy A. Handy man child and adult,for my blind Dad A. Kid who helped neighbors A. Boy Scout A. Environmentalist A. Day laborer A. Janitor A. Warehouse worker A. Camper , Hiker , Canoe paddler A. Photographer A. Broom ball player A. House flipper , A. Motorcycle owner A. Forester A. Truck Mechanic A. Farm hand A. Carny A personal care giver A. Volunteer A. Gardener A. Crew leader A. Prisoner And that is only a bit of me there is a lot more to tell.

My only new vehicle

There we were , a car dealership off 94 east side.

My hand me down car had fell apart = the bearings in the engine had failed , the people ( a friend of the family ) who sold it to me , tried to blame me for the problem .

My pops was willing to help out , ( the loan was all mine , so he didn’t have a financial part ) I picked out a car , not anything special, or expensive .

BUT ( sorry Dad you told me not to mention this next detail )

When I found out I had mistakenly, agreed to buy a older year model ( f n car salesman , we were still doing the paper work , haven’t even taken delivery )

I told the salesman, that I was under the impression that my purchase was the latest year model .

Things got REAL NASTY , the lead sales guy got insulting and abusive ( we should have walked out ) claiming my trade in was somehow a underhanded ploy by me .

He shocked my Dad and me , somehow we were the bad guys and didn’t deserve the car I thought I was buying .

My heart dropped , here I was looking at my first brand new car purchase and the dealer was turning it into a nite mare.

We took it ( the older model ) and got the H out of there .

I later went back and traded it for a brand new Work Truck , pickup .

I put a lot of love and my own custom lighting and stuff into that truck , I was working at a truck/ fabrication shop at the time .

So the time came for me to get the tranny fluid changed ( it’s wise to do this on new vehicles, to remove any debris from the breaking in period ) .

But the dealer , where I brought the truck to get serviced, on University, WREAKED MY BABY ,

one of there guys must have been high or something, he ran my truck into a large dumpster damaging the door , the bed and the door post , also damaged the right rear tire , it blew out on me .

When I went in and found out about accident , the shop Forman pleaded with me =

He didn’t want me to contact my insurance company !

He PROMISED to , REPLACE , the damaged bed and door , so like a fool ,I believed him .

I went back when they said my truck was fixed ( now , I’ve worked in shops since high school I know when things are done right ). The F N people there LIED TO ME !!!

I walked right up to my brand new truck and saw the worst bondo job , it was terrible work !

NOTHING HAD BEEN REPLACED LIKE I WAS PROMISED !

So I complained and like the scum they are ,

They talked me into a different truck at a higher monthly payment .

It wasn’t new , in fact it was a repo with dog hair in it and the previous owner had hidden the the family’s important id’s and SSI CARD IN THE TRUCK . I found them ,

the dealership didn’t even detail the thing , just turned it over to me .

So the payments were too much, the insurance was even higher .

And I eventually just had them repo it .

Note : the state of Minnesota is one of the states that lets dealers/ loan companies charge you for something you don’t have

So I had no vehicle , a terrible experience ,

And

I still owed almost TWO THOUSAND DOLLARS !
